Soft Tissue Therapy

Soft tissue therapy is used to help with everyday and work-related stresses, including chronic pain, over-use problems, and following injury or trauma.

Soft tissue therapy is the assessment, treatment, and management of soft tissue injury, pain and dysfunction of the neuromusculoskeletal system.  Used to help with everyday and work-related stresses, including chronic pain, over-use problems, and following injury or trauma.

The assessment process is tailored to your needs and then individual treatment and management programs are set and reassessed regularly.  Different treatments are available depending on individual requirements and preferences:

Sports massage

Suitable for individuals who may need a deep muscle treatment when recovering from injury, and also those who want to keep muscle relaxed and prevent injury occurring – treatment and maintenance programmes will be tailored to the individual’s requirements and work alongside any training/competitions.  Pre- and post-event massage can also be provided to improve performance and recovery.

Sports therapy

Suitable for individuals who have suffered an injury, such as muscle strain or ligament sprain through sport/exercise – treatment and rehabilitation programmes are tailored to the individual’s needs and requirements with an aim to return to sport/exercise as soon as possible.

Deep tissue / Remedial massage

Suitable for those people with general muscle tightness or stress-related muscle tension which could be caused by poor posture, or could be work-related – treatment and maintenance programmes are tailored to the individual’s needs and requirements.
